The MS87 definitely carries the classic Nike running DNA and uncannily resembles a mix between the Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 and the Nike Air Epic. This time around, the upper is a generous and opulent mix of black in various material ranging from reptilian print leather to patent leather and fabric. A white Swoosh, midsoles and red accents grounds the sneakers in its casual roots, but with a tan outsole, the sneakers are youthful yet mature and restrained in colorway. The new Nike MS87 is currently available for pre-order via Crooked Tongues, so check them out and judge for yourself.

I was fortunate enough to catch one of his first few pieces close-up in London. You know you're respected when there is no other graffiti anywhere near your work...

Philips takes the wraps off its new 12-watt EnduraLED light bulb, meant to replace the standard 60-watt incandescent. The form factor of the EnduraLED is similar enough to the standard bulb that it will fit in the same places and fixtures, and the quality of light is designed to be similar, though the EnduraLED draws a fraction of the power and will last some 25 times longer.
The good Sir Paul Smith has been taking his penchant for color refined with a gentlemanly restrain to the slopes with the help of snowboard gear maker, Burton, since 2005. The English designer has been lending his creative braincells to Burton and the duo’s collaboration had grown from jacket and pants to a collection of apparel as well as a snowboard which is set to drop for this coming snowboard season. The collaborative Paul Smith Vapor snowboard is an exemplification of both labels’ dictum for impeccable shapes and love for colors. On the upper, the snowboard is kept restrained and cool in black, with a pop of color in the channel which allows for use with both the Burton EST and Burton 3D bindings; and on the flip side, things get a little wild as Paul Smith’s iconic rainbow stripes are interlaced with bold Burton logo. The Vapor is a lightweight board which allows for an effortless ride. The snowboard is set to drop later this year, so those who are thinking of upgrading their gear and look, here is a good option to consider before powder season kicks in.

First I stripped the board of wax and I sanded the nose with 800 grit sandpaper. Didn't want to dig into the fiberglass too much as to not weaken the board. Taped off the nose and laid a lime-turqoise-lime fade with some Montana Cans spray paint. Dope paint. Don't mind the wee islander in the background.
Laid down a bad choice of tape. Waay too sticky. Go with the blue painters tape or black graphic tape tape that comes in different thicknesses. Then I cut out the shapes I sketched. Pretty basic and after the process I was glad I didn't overcomplicate it.
Laid down some light layers of black and pulled off the tape right after and SLOWLY to try to prevent peeling. Buuuut it happened anyway. Could of sanded it more. Could of let for more dry time. Could of got the right tape. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Do you miss the Polaroid? The shaking good times that Outkast sang about in “Hey Ya” and that fanning action which comes accompanied with a gorgeous vintage shade of instant gratification (for some reason, digital cameras are just not quite the same)? We do too. And perhaps after Polaroid pulled out of the instant camera market in 2008, it realized that all the business are going to Fujifilm Instax and Impossible Film are making overpriced paper, the camera maker decided to reclaim its territory and has just relaunched this section with the Polaroid 300 Instant Camera.
Sure, it looks deceptively like the Fujifilm Instax Mini, but it is indeed a Polaroid. Finally, the Polaroid brand of instant gratification is back, and in three colors– black, blue and red. If you are looking to quench your nostalgic shooting needs, these are available now online at Polaroid.
