Witness This.

Blog overload! I'm glad to be a part of this new blog project a few creative heads along with myself put together. We're starting to gather a bit of a fan base with unique imagery and music (some FREE!!!). Check it out at www.witness-this.com. Witness This New Years Eve Party details to follow. Shit's gonna get weird!

Wall Candy.

I've started to invest in new pieces of art since design has become such a big part of my life. The industry has done so much for me so it's only right to give back and support your local artists. Here's a few from my collection...This is a great piece by Ian Ross of San Francisco. It means a lot to me as it was from a live art show in SF and was painted on my birthday while I was in attendance. One of my best friends picked it up for me to my surprise and was one of the kindest gestures I've ever received. Much love Jamal. Ur next.

I saw this piece at my friend Tocayo's art show down in San Diego. The artist is EXIST 1981. Loved the Sound Of Music print collage with his other work.
This is my most recent pickup that I'm incredibley stoked on. This is a signed Shepard Fairey print entitled "The Presidential Seal." For all you who don't know Fairey was the artist behind the Obama "HOPE" art and is soon to be apart of the biggest lawsuit the art world has ever seen. No doubt one of the most iconic street artists of our time. I picked this beast up at a great charity art auction/xmas party a coworker of mine put on to support a friend of his that has ALS. It makes me happy to know that the proceeds of the event went to that kind of support.

Treasure Island Music Fest 2010

Sooooo we went to the Treasure Island Music Fest in San Francisco this last weekend. And in the words of my quite inebriated buddy: "This is the best weekend of my life! WE WIN!"On our strut to the bus shuttle over the bridge.
We got there to see the end of Die Antwoord. These guys get the gold star for the perfect balance of weird and awesome.
Here's some of the crew...
Sweet views. Behind the ferris wheel is the SF skyline...All the bands were sick. Phantogram, Miike Snow, Kruder and Dorfmeister, LCD Soundsystem...
...and then there was Deadmau5......and all the faces started to melt...
...insane stage presence...
...mind-melting visuals...
And just when we thought the night was over, we hit the town. Going to a new bar that I don't even know the name of, but was awesome. The Classixx were spinning there. They were dope. So we brought them back to my friends kitchen...

Here's a little taste of our eve through a friends vid...

Design talk with The Champ.

Had a little meeting today with the current World Champ of surfing, Mick Fanning. All around good guy and insane surfer. As a designer, we're always pumped to have our athletes show an interest in product. Look for a killer footwear piece for this guy in the seasons to come, designed by yours truly...
Also had him sign my autograph board for my wall, along with Rob Machado's signature. In a few years this will hopefully cover a year's worth of college tuition, books, or parking tickets for some lucky child...

...or a new toy for myself.

Inspiration.
